The only markings provided with the ARF are some U.S. stars and bars - the rest is left up the builder.
BTE now offers two complete decal packages, one for each color scheme. The lettering and markings are all
precision-cut from sticky-back vinyl by Bill Fulmer's CustomCut Graphics. NOTE: The stars and bars that
come with the ARF are okay, but even the smallest star is too big for the fuselage. Both BTE decal packages
include another set of star and bar decals from Sig Mfg. Use the smaller Sig stars on the fuselage.
Many thanks to Warren Hunter for the bulk of this package. Warren was an early builder of the BTE
Reaction 54 (wood kit) and was the first to add side inlets. Warren also developed a unique graphics
package for his model, and was kind enough to donate his work to the ARF project. The graphics
presented here are something of a blend between Warren's model and the PST ARF prototype. Use the
photos below to help with decal placement.
DECAL PACKAGE #1 PRICE . . . . . $49.00
plus $7.50 postage in U.S.
Package includes Sig Stars and Bars
DECAL PACKAGE #2 - For the Blue/Yellow ARF
The blue and yellow ARF color scheme is based on an obscure drone version of the F9F Panther
used by the Navy. The tiny image shown here (sorry, no enlargement available) is the only one I could find
and is shown for reference only. Notice the number on the nose is "31", while the PST model uses the number
"03". The vinyl package has the nuber "031" so you can cut out a digit (or not) as you see fit. The
Reaction ARF is not a scale model, so there really is no right or wrong concerning decal placement.
DECAL PACKAGE #2 PRICE . . . . . $49.00
