It weighs 7-1/2 pounds and with the six pounds thrust flies very nicely. The little hole in the nose contains the ESC which definitely needs fresh air (I smoked the first one back where I thought there should be air in the fuse, not much room up front). Now it runs cool. I initially had trouble getting out of the grass so I shortened the main gear (pneumatic retracts) to create a positive angle of attack, problem solved. It really scoots when the wheels come up. I am using the rudder speed brake option. That is neat. When the speed brake is deployed on base leg or final, it pitches the nose up for a nice high-angle-of-attack slow landing. Great big loopy maneuvers and lovely slow rolls, lots of vertical but not out of sight and that neat jet sound. Thanks for the neat design." <Go Back to Index Go to Next Model> |
